These services are not offered during the summer. We will again be offering these appointments at the start of the Fall 2013 semester.
Although not required, very recommended. This is a valuable tool in assessing fitness ability. It also acts as a good baseline before beginning any exercise program. Appointments last 30-45 minutes and individuals should dress comfortably, preferably shorts and must have athletic shoes.
Before a Fitness Assessment can be done please print and fill out the ACSM Health Status Questionnaire
The Fitness Assessment consists of:
- Height/Weight measurements
- Body Composition
- 3 minute Step Test
- Sit and Reach
This appointment helps familiarize individuals with all equipment in the fitness center; both strength and cardio. This is recommended if you have never used strength or cardio equipment. The coordinator shows proper form and instruction to prevent injury. Appointments last 30-60 minutes.
This is for individuals that want their own individual training program. The coordinator will meet with you to discuss your exercise objectives and will then create a personal program tailored to your needs. This is then followed up with a second appointment to go over the routine. Appointments last 15-30 minutes.
