Tips for Writing Curriculum Using the WIDS Format/Software

  • Program Summary Glossary Lists the definitions of the terms used in WIDS, i.e., competencies, performance standards, learning objectives, support materials, etc.
  • Course Competencies Lists concrete examples of competencies and non-examples of competencies which describe the performance of a major skill. 
Performance Standards:
  • Criteria Examples and categories of criteria.
  • Conditions Examples and categories of conditions.
