What is ABE?

The ABE (Adult Basic Education) program at Fox Valley Technical College prepares students to achieve their high school credential.  ABE classes are available at the Chilton Regional Center.

If you would like to attend ABE classes at the Chilton campus, you may call to schedule your ABE First Steps to Success Orientation.
Note:  The ABE First Steps to Success Orientation is for students who are new to ABE.  If you have attended ABE (GOAL) classes within the past two years, please call the location you wish to attend.

How can these skills be used?

These skills are important for success in your program, reading technical manuals, writing business correspondence, doing calculations and measurements, and understanding business information.

What courses are available?  When are they held?

There are reading, math, English, grammar, and writing courses that are taught on an individual basis.
ABE classes are available morning, afternoon and evening.  Class size may be limited.

How long will it take to complete a course?

The amount of time depends upon each enrollment. All courses begin at each person's appropriate level, based on assessment, and go from one level to the next at each individual's own pace.  There is an attendance policy, which is explained at registration.

Is there confidentiality?

Absolutely! NO information regarding entry level, progress, or grades is shared by FVTC instructors without your written consent.
